Notre-Dame de Lourdes Grotto + My Favorites
Based on the original Notre-Dame de Lourdes in France, this grotto is complete with a statue of Mary. Stones comprise an arched shelter that houses the alter, also made of stones. Wooden park benches operate as pews and the entire area is encapsulated in shrubs and trees. Story has it that the church and grotto were built in 1887 when a local dignitary, Michel Cyr, donated land in exchange for a free seat in church. Address: 435 Montreal Road, Vanier | Ottawa, ON
St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church + My Favorites
